Ismeri Europa is an interdisciplinary research institute with 25 years experience in policy analysis and research on regional development and cohesion, labour, welfare and redistribution and European structural policies. Ismeri Europa has developed an interdisciplinary approach combining macro-economic analysis and modelling with a wider range of social science methodologies. Ismeri Europa has worked for many national regional and local governments in Europe, North Africa and Latin America and for the World Bank as a consultant on public policy issues, institution building, development planning and cohesion and structural policies. The institute has carried out several research projects and prepared reports on international trade policies, Europe’s role in the world economy, the impact of the single market on European growth, the impact of the Euro for several European national governments, the European Parliament, and the Commission.
During the past 20 years Ismeri Europa has actively participated in the development of cohesion and structural policies in the European Community and has assisted several national governments and regional and local authorities in their implementation. Outside Europe, the institute has managed scientific cooperation programs with the Mediterranean countries and more recently has carried out research and evaluations of development programs in Latin America. Through these activities Ismeri Europa has acquired experience in the management and coordination of complex research projects involving a large number of experts spread over different countries and continents.
